Apsara School of Dance

Group Description: Apsara School of Dance was founded initially in Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian style of dance, by Samidha Dutta. Since its debut, it has expanded to include more modern styles of dance such Bollywood and fusion. While the main dance style taught remains Bharatanatyam, other styles such as Bollywood, fusion, kathak, kuchipudi, and other classical Indian dance styles have also been incorporated in choreographies. The students of the school have been training for at least a year in Bharatanatyam. They have performed in many events before including India Festival and Asian Festival in 2012.
